Michael J Fox on Katie next week has been confirmed. Katie Couric interviews Fox about his return to TV, his devotion to fighting Parkinson’s and family life. Also scheduled on Katie Couric’s guest list for the week of Nov. 5 are Kelly Ripa and Micahel Strahan, Keyon Fooling and an entire episode dedicated to reviewing the year’s most astounding miracles (big and small).
MONDAY, NOVEMBER 5 — Hurricane Sandy
A week after Hurricane Sandy battered the East Coast, Katie continues to follow the storm’s aftermath. She will see firsthand some of the devastated areas, and bring viewers the amazing stories of rescue and recovery taking place in the wake of this storm.
TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 6 – Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan
The pairing of Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan has been wildly successful, making Live! with Kelly and Michael one of the most buzzed about talk shows this season. Located just around the corner from Katie’s studio, Kelly and Michael stop by for a neighborly chat – their first sit-down interview together.
WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 7 – Michael J. Fox
Fighting Parkinson’s and raising awareness about and money to fight this disease, Michael J. Fox is a hero to many. Now he’s preparing for his latest television series. Katie interviews the actor, philanthropist and father of four.
THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 8 – Boston Celtic’s Keyon Fooling, Kim Wohlert
Katie sits down with former Boston Celtic player, Keyon Dooling, who chose to walk away from his successful NBA career so he could deal with his history of sexual abuse. Katie also looks at confronting one’s past through her conversation with Kim Wohlert, whose story is explored in the Investigation Discovery series, The Devil You Know. Wohlert opens up about her mother, Judy Gough, who forced Kim to help her in the murder of her stepfather.
FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 9 — Miracles
Bring your tissues for there won’t be a dry eye in the audience or at home when Katie takes a year in review, observing what she believes to be true miracles that occurred this past year, both big and small.
