Link TV, C-SPAN, Free Speech TV to air third party presidential debate Oct. 23

Updated Oct. 23, 2012, 7:48pm CT

Last night, the final presidential debate between President Barack Obama and Republican challenger Gov. Mitt Romney aired. Over the course of the three debates these two men had, along with the one vice-presidential debate between Vice President Joe Biden and Congressman Paul Ryan, some voters were disappointed that the other presidential candidates whose names will appear on a number of ballots on Nov. 6 were not involved in any of the nationally televised debates. These third party candidates and their supporters have expressed frustration with the two-party, Republican and Democratic, domination of political discourse in America, and in an effort to further get their names and positions out, they will engage in their own debate tonight, Oct. 23, at 8:55pm ET.

Link TV and C-SPAN will air the Free & Equal Presidential Debate, a two-hour debate between 2012 presidential candidates Jill Stein (Green Party), Gary Johnson (Libertarian Party), Virgil Goode (Constitution Party) and Rocky Anderson (Justice Party). The debate, held in Chicago, is presented by Al Jazeera English, with an introduction by Shihab Rattansi, and is moderated by Larry King. According to the Free & Equal Elections Foundation, which is hosting the debate, questions will touch on foreign policy, the economy, civil rights and other critical policy issues affecting not only Americans, but the rest of the world, as well.

The debate will also be available live online at the Link TV website.

UPDATE: Free Speech TV will also be airing the debate.

The Free & Equal Presidential Debate between the third party presidential candidates airs live on Link TV, C-SPAN and Free Speech TV at 8:55pm ET on Oct. 23.
