NFL Network Thursday Night Football 2012 schedule

RELATED: NFL playoff schedule 2013

NFL Network gets an expanded 13-game schedule of Thursday Night Football this season, and it kicks off on Sept. 13 with an old-school NFC North rivalry between the Chicago Bears and the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field. The Packers have won the past four meetings (including playoffs) against Chicago, but the Pack’s Week 1 loss to the 49ers revealed some defensive weaknesses the Bears could exploit. The Bears are coming off a 41-21 win over the Colts, and the offense looked strong with quarterback Jay Cutler, wide receiver Brandon Marshall, and running backs Matt Forte and Michael Bush leading the way.

Other highlights of the Thursday night schedule include a Week 3 matchup with Eli Manning and the N.Y. Giants at Cam Newton and the Carolina Panthers, an NFC West matchup between Seattle and San Francisco in Week 7, and a Week 13 matchup between the New Orleans Saints and the Atlanta Falcons that could have NFC South playoff implications.

Play-by-play announcer Brad Nessler and analyst Mike Mayock return to the Thursday Night Football booth and are joined by sideline reporter Alex Flanagan.

Note: Fans without NFL Network will still be able to see their local team on a broadcast network. See below the schedule for local stations carrying the Thursday Night Football broadcasts.

  1. Mike Mayock… if we hear one more time “If it was me” or “I would have” or “He doesn’t know what he’s doing” We’re gonna puke. You probably have an ex cheerleader giving you the facts to squeak out of your mouth. Mike, if you are so good, why aren’t you a coach. Jerk. Dennis Miller was terrible, but he was a celebrity so we can forgive, but you don’t even rate that good. You belong “analyzing” grade school football. I hope one of the players that you continually bad mouth sees you on the street. Never mind, no one even knows you!
P.S. We have voted to turn the sound OFF on Thursday nights so we don’t have to listen to your ignorant and uninformed B.S.
We have an educated 10 year old football player to do out analysis.

  2. You folks that don’t feel like paying to watch the game, don’t worry… you’re only missing the absolute worst football broadcasting team ever. I’ve only watched a couple games, a few years apart, and they just stink!

I can’t believe I’m about to change the channel, but this is painful.

    Go Fins,
    MaD dOG
