Discovery F&H’s “Addicted” back for Season 2

It’s a tough path to watch someone trod, but it’s nothing compared to what’s gone through by those who are on it. And you know — enough of you have been watching people on that journey to hell and (hopefully) back on Discovery Fit & Health’s Addicted that the series returns for Season 2 on Tuesday, Aug. 28 at 10pm ET/PT, with unconventional interventionist Kristina Wandzilak taking on nine more individuals whose addictions to drugs and alcohol have them on the road to ruin or worse, to see if she can turn them back from the brink and help them start forging a new life in a new and healthier direction.

Wandzilak has her work cut out for her in this season of Addicted. Some of the stories this season will cover are lone individuals, others couples or friends whose behavior enables each other as they spiral downward together. The series will look at people addicted to prescription painkillers; people addicted to heroin and meth; alcoholics and some suffering from a combination of addictions.

Getting sober is the only chance most of these folks have to win back the trust of their families, let alone survive altogether. Wandzilak may be their best chance of getting there, but as anyone who’s seen an addicted person’s behavior or had to live alongside an addict knows, there are no guarantees that her offer of help will be accepted, and if so, whether they’ll be able to stay the path to recovery.
