Free weekend of Showtime for Time Warner Cable and DirecTV subscribers

Hold off from getting too excited here because this most likely won’t apply to you. The Free preview weekend is only being offered to 20 million people, more specifically — Time Warner Cable subscribers in New York and Los Angeles and nationwide to DirecTV customers. It’s the first of its kind in free previews.

The aptly-titled free preview promo — “Best in SHO” — is targeted to voting members of the Television Academy, these are the people who determine what TV series and shows will win the Emmys. It’s all a part of the networks’s “For Your Consideration Emmy Awards Campaign.” The good news is  you don’t have to be a member of the Academy to enjoy a free weekend of Showtime’s best series.
So get your DVRs ready and start sampling some of the best shows the network offers via Showtime or Showtime On Demand. The Free Preview weekend press release states the following … Marathons on-air and full seasons On Demand of the following programming is included: HOMELAND starring Claire Danes and Damian Lewis, SHAMELESS starring William H. Macy and Emmy Rossum, DEXTER starring Michael C. Hall, HOUSE OF LIES starring Don Cheadle and Kristen Bell, NURSE JACKIE starring Edie Falco, THE BIG C starring Laura Linney, THE BORGIAS starring Jeremy Irons, WEEDS starring Mary-Louise Parker, and CALIFORNICATION starring David Duchovny. As a bonus,  viewers will also have access to the season finales of NURSE JACKIE, THE BIG C and THE BORGIAS airing this Sunday, June 17.  In addition, the 2012 Peabody Award-winning documentary REBIRTH, which chronicles the lives of five people whose lives were forever altered on September 11, 2001, will be presented on SHOWTIME On Demand.
