Stevie TV brings YouTube sensation Stevie Ryan to VH1

Stevie Ryan stars in new VH1 series "Stevie TV"Stevie Ryan is pencil-thin and pinup-girl pretty, with almond-shaped hazel eyes, a lush pout and cascades of dark, shiny hair.

But she’d rather look like you. Especially if you’re a readily parodied part of the pop-culture lexicon.

Growing up outside of Los Angeles with a taste for silent films and a longing to entertain, Ryan moved into the city to find her fortune and discovered that she got the most attention from works of her own creation.

To fill the time between commercial and print gigs, Ryan began producing comically oddball — frequently NSFW — online videos in her apartment, starring as various original characters (Little Loca!) and celebrity train wrecks such as Britney Spears and Amy Winehouse.

Her online audience grew by the hundreds of thousands and eventually she caught the attention of executives at New Wave Entertainment and VH1 who convinced her to bring her talent for parody to television.

Beginning March 4, Stevie TV will introduce television audiences to Ryan’s uncanny impersonations of everyone from Kendra Wilkinson and Lady Gaga to pacifier-wielding pageant princess Makenzie from Toddlers & Tiaras and pigtailed repo queen Sonia Pizarro from truTV’s Operation Repo. Oh, and fellow YouTube springboarder Justin Bieber, whom Ryan admits she likes playing for more than just professional reasons.

“Believe it or not, anytime I play Justin Bieber, men and women want me,” Ryan confesses. “I cannot get a date as myself. But if I’m Justin Bieber, boys all of a sudden are like, ‘You know, I don’t know what it is, but you look really cute as Justin Bieber!’”

Stevie TV airs Sundays on VH1  beginning March 4

  1. Hector, we have great big giant versions of that photo and others and her eyes are hazel in all. But if you know her and have gazed into those eyes directly, then I stand corrected!

  2. Stevie Ryan’s eyes are green. The same green as the girl in that photo in fact.
