VOD Spotlight: “Answers to Nothing” gets simultaneous VOD and theatrical release

The indie film Answers to Nothing, directed by Matthew Leutwyler, who co-wrote the screenplay with Gillian Vigman, will be released in theaters nationwide Dec. 2, but will also be available on Video On Demand if it is not available theatrically in your area. The dramatic mystery film features a notable cast, including Dane Cook, Elizabeth Mitchell, Julie Benz, Zach Gilford and Barbara Hershey. The film screened this fall at the Woodstock Film Festival, and the Hollywood Film Festival.

In the film, intertwining stories explore the bad in the best of us, and the good in the worst of us. Against the backdrop of a child abduction case, we follow five days in the life of the single-parent detective assigned to the case, her best friend whose determination to get pregnant keeps her from confronting her husband’s infidelity, a school teacher and his obsession with the missing child that pushes him to the edge of vigilantism, a beat cop grieving over the violent death of his wife, a recovering addict and her wheelchair-bound brother preparing for the Los Angeles marathon, and a self-loathing African-American TV writer searching for love.

“Answers to Nothing” is available starting Dec. 2 on Video On Demand — the same day as its theatrical release. Check your cable system for availability.
