MLB Network’s 2011 Spring Training game TV schedule

MLB Network has announced its 2011 spring training game TV schedule, including 83 games with every team featured at least three times. The schedule begins Saturday, Feb. 26, with the Phillies at the Yankees. (Additional spring games air on ESPN and ESPN2. Click here for schedule.) MLB Network also announced the schedule and coverage details for its 30 Clubs in 30 Days season preview series. We’ve included the 30 Clubs in 30 Days TV schedule in a separate post. New Season of 30 Clubs in 30 Days Features One-Hour Specials on Every MLB Club, Shot On Location in Arizona and Florida

MLB Tonight, MLB Network’s Signature Studio Show, Returns February 28

Secaucus, N.J., February 17, 2011 – With players reporting to the Grapefruit and Cactus Leagues this week, MLB Network today announced its plans to air 83 games as part of its 2011 Spring Training coverage. The game schedule begins on Saturday, February 26 with the 2010 NL East Champion Philadelphia Phillies at New York Yankees live from George M. Steinbrenner Field in Tampa, Florida at 1:00 p.m. ET. The complete schedule is available at www.MLBNetwork.com and continues throughout March, with every MLB club featured in at least three matchups. All games will be carriage of local telecasts, including local announcers.

MLB Network’s Spring Training series 30 Clubs in 30 Days premieres on Monday, February 28 with hour-long features on each of the 30 Major League clubs previewing the 2011 season. MLB Network’s Greg Amsinger, Lisa Kerney, Hazel Mae and Matt Vasgersian will report from all of the 30 Spring Training camps throughout Florida and Arizona, conducting interviews with players, coaches and others associated with each club. MLB Tonight, MLB Network’s signature studio show during the regular season, returns on Monday, February 28 live at 6:00 p.m. ET.

The new season of 30 Clubs in 30 Days will continue to provide fans with the most extensive coverage of each club before Opening Day with field reports, interviews, predictions and inside access to every club’s training camp. The series will include segments analyzing each club’s pitching, offense, prospects and the best-ever performance at every position in a club’s single season. For the first time, fans will have the opportunity to submit questions via email, Facebook and Twitter for Amsinger, Kerney, Mae and Vasgersian to ask players and coaches. One fan-submitted question will be included in each episode.

The 2011 series of 30 Clubs in 30 Days begins with the Arizona Diamondbacks, followed by other club episodes every day from February 28 through March 29. The complete on-air schedule of premiere dates for each episode of 30 Clubs in 30 Days is available at www.MLBNetwork.com. The new single Get Ready, from Los Angeles-based band The Daylights, is currently unreleased and will be featured as the theme song for 30 Clubs in 30 Days throughout the series and in on-air promotions.

As part of the 30 Clubs in 30 Days Spring Training Tour, MLB Network is visiting select clubs’ camps with a virtual experience that gives fans the opportunity to record a 15-second video postcard greeting and have their photo taken to create a virtual postcard that they can then distribute via email or social media. MLB Network will also launch a texting platform called 30 Prizes in 30 Days, encouraging fans to text-in and visit MLB Network’s tour throughout 30 Clubs in 30 Days for chances to win an MLB Authentic Collection Batting Practice Jersey by Majestic.

  1. Well my team’s NOT the Yankees, Angels, Dodgers, or Phillies but the GIANTS still get eight games in the schedule and I am looking forward to every one of them! Thanks MLB Network for any and all coverage of Spring Training that we hungry fans can get!
