Big Bang Theory fans: CBS.com announces “Soft Kitty” contest

Soft Big Bang Theory fans, warm Big Bang Theory fans, happy Big Bang Theory fans — or at least those of you willing to film yourselves singing the now famous “Soft Kitty” song from Season One’s “The Pancake Batter Anomaly” episode — you could score yourself a trip to L.A. to watch a taping of the hit CBS series.

All you have to do is log on to CBS.com by Jan. 6 and upload a 30-second video of yourself singing the feel-good ditty, which Sheldon’s mom used to sing to her sick boy, for your chance to win. CBS.com users will then vote for their favorites, with the top ten videos revealed on Jan. 13. The field will then be narrowed to five with the winner announced Feb.3 on the web site, immediately following an all-new episode of The Big Bang Theory.

Got a bet with your friends about whether the song is real or a product of the script writers’ imaginations? It’s the real deal — Bill Prady, the show’s executive producer included it in the episode after hearing it at his daughter’s preschool.
