“A Nice Big Whiff Of Some Ryan Seacrest”

Hey, maybe there is a reason to tune in to the Emmy Awards after all! FOX, which will be carrying the ceremony live on September 16 at 8pm ET (tape-delayed in Pacific Time), announced that two of its most familiar network stars will be making a guest appearance on the broadcast. Stewie and Brian of Family Guy will be doing one of their trademark musical numbers to honor the year in TV as they “magically appear on the Emmy stage,” in the words of Ken Ehrlich, executive producer of the awards telecast. The process by which the animated duo will appear may not seem too “magical” to those over the age of 5, but 1-year-old Stewie seems ready to soak in the awards-show magic, as he exclaimed, “I’m going to get me a nice big whiff of some Ryan Seacrest.”

* Shut up! There’s yet another fall update (told you there’d be more!). The TLC series previously known as Shut Up! It’s Stacy London has been given a new title and new premiere date. Fashionably Late With Stacy London will now debut November 23 at 10pm ET/PT, and air Fridays. The premise remains the same: a “girls-night in” talk show filled with gossip, trends, tips and sass. Six one-hour episodes are planned.

* Since Celebrity Jeopardy! has proven too difficult for some stars, perhaps they can fare better this November, when Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader? will be enrolling celebs into the show to test their knowledge for charity. The addictively fun FOX show will bring in Regis Philbin, Billy Bush, Clay Aiken, Kellie Pickler, Tony Hawk and Miss America Lauren Nelson to try to ace the questions.

* MTV hopes to make plenty of friends with its new elimination-format dating show called A Shot at Love With Tila Tequila. The show is built around the singer (pictured right) who reportedly has the most “friends” in the history of MySpace (2,009,335 at time of the release). You might want to check for a recount by the time the show premieres October 9.

* BET’s annual Black College Tour kicks off today at Bethune-Cookman University in Daytona, Fla. As it has been doing for the past five years, the tour will be visiting 14 historically black college and university campuses across the country, bringing games, entertainment, consumer information exclusively for college students, BET personalities and live performances from artists such as Swizz Beatz, Mya, Q-Tip and more. * An upcoming guest star on E!’s reality hit Sunset Tan is, ironically, a woman on whom you might find very few tan lines — adult film legend Jenna Jameson. Jameson’s money shot is in a new episode airing September 16 at 10:30pm ET/PT (perhaps the Emmys might be close to completion by that point), during a scene where Keely and Anita visit the actress’ house to give her a spray-tan session. Also of interest to you T&A fans — in this episode the Olly Girls decide to throw a party while house-sitting for Jeff as he heads to Vegas to discuss his new salon.
