What’s It All About? Tattoos and animals make up some of cable’s more popular and successful programming, so it’s no surprise NGC jumped at the opportunity to capture both. A group of tattoo-loving, Sopranos-like tough guys use their size, muscle, street smarts and heart to save animals from human abuse. The members of Rescue Ink Unleashed, who collectively tout over 1,700 pounds of muscle, more than 80 tattoos and have names such as Big Ant, Joe Panz, Batso and Angel, have zero tolerance for animal cruelty and are willing to take on any job to help an animal. They are an unlikely group of animal activists who aren’t afraid to flex some muscle to do what’s right. Big Ant tells us that one of the most shocking cases he’s seen was a woman with over 180 cats in her house. The guys took 50 cats at a time and got them spayed and neutered, and adopted them out. “We have a little thing, even if you say ‘at,’ you are getting a cat,” Big Ant laughs. It’s a show the entire family will enjoy.

What’s It All About?: The show follows Alaska State Troopers and rookies entering the academy as they deal with ethical and legal issues in the tough Alaskan terrain. Whether troopers are secluded near the Arctic Circle — where they are solely responsible for any case or circumstance that comes their way — or searching the swamps and forests for illegal hunting, these troopers have one goal: to protect the people and wildlife of Alaska. Viewers follow troopers in their heartbreaking annual search for missing snow machine riders alongside Yupik Eskimos, and travel the dense forest via four wheelers searching for “kill sites,” where moose and other animal remains are checked for legal hunting protocol. Even the conventional traffic stop is dangerous. It’s a surprising and educational glimpse of life for Alaska State Troopers and Alaskan citizens alike.
