Where We Left Off: The premier science series continued helping viewers of all ages explore the science behind the headlines, and helped demystify science and technology.
What To Expect: This fall, NOVA celebrates the 200th anniversary of Darwin’s birth and the 150th anniversary of the publication of his famous book, On the Origin of Species, with three evolution-themed programs – Darwin’s Darkest Hour (October 6); Becoming Human (a three-parter airing November 3, 10 and 17); and What Darwin Never Knew (December 29). Each film approaches the topic of evolution in a different way, from a two-hour drama to more documentary approaches.
Other episodes look at the risky 2009 mission to service the Hubble Space Telescope for the last time; why we dream; and the acute intelligence of monitor lizards.
