Then: Befitting a guy who played tough guys such as Apollo Creed and Jericho “Action” Jackson in films, most of Weathers’ TV work has consisted of crime dramas such as Street Justice and In the Heat of the Night. A self-deprecating turn as himself on Arrested Development showed that he has comedic chops, as well.
Now: Weathers goes for laughs once again, playing “Coach” Trainor on the FOX comedy Brothers.
