What’s It All About? Single, successful film critic Billie (Elfman) gets pregnant during a one-night stand with the much younger Zack (Foster), an aspiring chef, then decides to keep the baby and let Zack move in with her. Like an unfunny The Odd Couple, the majority of the show’s humor (when there is some) deals with the difference between its lead characters, in this case the result of an age difference that is significant but not ridiculously so. Billie and Zack’s romance is less May-December than it is September-December — which, coincidentally, is about as long as this show should last.
